The one thing every Brevard septic owner should know

By July 2030, most Brevard septic systems must connect to sewer or upgrade.

Brevard's grant program covers up to $20,000 per home toward a connection or upgrade, with a minimum award of $6,000 for eligible parcels. The money is finite and the deadline is fixed.

Cross-section of a septic system: waste flows from the house to the tank, effluent flows on to the drain field and percolates down toward the water table. The gap between them is the separation.
The orange measure is separation — the dry soil between the field and the water table. It does the treatment.

Why here is different

Your drain field needs dry soil beneath it. Brevard doesn't always have any.

Brevard sits on sand over a shallow water table that rises sharply from June through October. When it does, fields that worked all winter stop taking water, and a tank that's overdue has no buffer left.

That pattern is behind most of the calls we take, and it is largely avoidable: pump on schedule, and know whether your field was sized for the wet season or the dry one.

How pumping works here

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

  1. 1

    Call or book

Tell us the address and what it's doing. Emergencies go to the front of the day.

  2. 2

    Price confirmed before we roll

You get the number on the phone, not at the driveway with the truck already there.

  3. 3

    Licensed crew, written record

Tank size, sludge depth and a recommended next date, in writing.
